Cobre Conecta moves to La Pintada to be part of the Pinta’o Hat Festival

10 years of support to the Pinta’o Hat Festival of La Pintada

Cocle, October 25, 2024- Cobre Panama will be present at the Pinta’o Hat Festival in La Pintada, which will take place from October 25 to 27. This will be the tenth year that the mining company supports the Municipality of La Pintada, reaffirming its commitment to local culture and the strengthening of craft traditions that enhance the talented artisans of La Pintada.

Throughout this celebration, the public will be able to enjoy a varied agenda of events, including a speech contest, folkloric tuna, the crowning of the festival queen, among other artistic expressions.

In this edition, Cobre Panama will present “Cobre Conecta”, an interactive space designed to share information about responsible mining. Through virtual reality technologies, visitors of all ages will be able to explore the interior of the mine and learn firsthand how its operations were developed in a sustainable manner.

In addition, it will have an outstanding participation in the parade of carts with the allegory “Casa Pintada de la Inmaculada”, a representation that seeks to highlight the history and origin of the name of this picturesque and traditional municipality of Cocle. The company invites everyone to enjoy these activities, which reaffirm its commitment to the cultural and social development of La Pintada.

Through its participation in the Pinta’o Hat Festival, the company reaffirms its closeness to the population to exchange information on its environmental practices and address the concerns of those present.

Cobre Panama celebrates Panamanian culture and reiterates its commitment to community development in one of the most important events in the province of Cocle.
