Panama, May 12, 2025 – The program seeks to provide concrete, practical and locally adapted tools that enable entrepreneurs to improve the management of their businesses, increase their profitability and move toward sustainability. The goal is not only to help these businesses grow, but also to enable their owners to improve their quality of life in a tangible and lasting way.
The town of Miguel de La Borda will host the second phase of Cobre Emprende, from May 12 to 15, where they will work together with the entrepreneurs to promote productive initiatives that contribute to the economic development of the Donoso district. In addition to the 32 hours of training, the program includes close and continuous follow-up to ensure that what has been learned is applied effectively and that the businesses can sustain their growth in the long term.
“With Cobre Emprende we seek to positively impact people’s lives based on their own abilities and talents. We believe in the potential of small entrepreneurs to energize the local economy and generate wellbeing in their communities,” said James Cobbett, spokesperson for the program.
The implementation of the program in the districts of La Pintada and Omar Torrijos was enthusiastically received by the participants. In total, around 100 entrepreneurs were certified after successfully completing the training cycle.
With initiatives such as this, Cobre Panama reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and the strengthening of the communities surrounding its area of influence. Cobre Emprende is not only a training tool, but a concrete way to empower local entrepreneurs and actively contribute to the progress of the region.
