COBRE PANAMÁ CONTRIBUTES TO THE TRAINING OF PROFESSIONALS THROUGH A DIPLOMA COURSE IN TOURISM JOURNALISM AND COMMUNICATION

– This diploma course, which is an initiative of the National College of Journalists of Panama (CONAPE) is endorsed and taught by the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology “UMECIT”
– It is the first diploma course in Tourism Journalism in the country.
Panama, September 26, 2023 – In order to contribute to the training of communication professionals and the promotion of Panama as a tourist destination, Cobre Panama supports, through the granting of two full scholarships, the initiative of the National College of Journalists (CONAPE) to develop the Diploma in Journalism and Tourism Communication, which takes place for the first time in the country, starting on September 26, for 15 weeks.
This is an interesting educational program, which has been designed to provide journalists and social communication professionals in the country, the possibility of obtaining specialized skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the dynamic field of tourism and adventure journalism.
“In Cobre Panama we are aware of the importance of effective communication to present to the world all the attractions that Panama offers, not only in the capital but also in the interior of the country. That is why we support, through these scholarships, the specialization of Panamanian journalism professionals who, with their work, will contribute to strengthen the tourism sector in the country,” said Keith Green, Country Manager of Cobre Panama.
The Diploma in Tourism Journalism and Communication, whose classes will be taught in completely virtual mode, with a duration of 15 weeks, is endorsed by the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology “UMECIT and is designed through a complete curriculum that covers topics such as: Introduction to Tourism and Fundamentals, Tourism Destinations and Services, Media and Tourism, Narrative of Destinations and Travel, and New Technologies Applied to Tourism Communication.
