We are aware of Resolution 02 of September 28, 2023 issued by the Commerce and Economic Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, which proposes adjustments to the draft law of the concession contract between the State of Panama and Minera Panama.

The Executive has authorized the Ministry of Commerce and Industries to withdraw the contract from the National Assembly in order to make the adjustments proposed by the Commission in the Resolution, according to an official statement.

We have always maintained a position open to dialogue and are prepared to analyze and review the four adjustments mentioned in the Resolution. Our objective is to collaborate with the government to find a solution that will allow the approval of the contract.

Likewise, our priority is to secure a contract that protects the investment made, guaranteeing its legal security and providing stability for our workers, communities, suppliers and shareholders.
