Panama, June 16, 2023

We are pleased to report that on June 14 of this year, the Cabinet Council authorized the Minister of Commerce and Industry to sign the contract with Minera Panamá. This important step fills us with satisfaction and represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to contribute to Panama’s economic and social development.

In the next few days, both the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) and Minera Panamá will proceed to sign the new contract. Once signed, the MICI will submit the contract to the Comptroller General of the Republic to be countersigned.

Once the process has been completed by the Comptroller General’s Office, the contract will be submitted by the MICI to the National Assembly, together with the bill for the new contract.
