Among the agreements established is the development of community programs for vulnerable populations, addressing topics such as entrepreneurship, early stimulation and family counseling, prevention and comprehensive mental health care, occupational health, and the development of tourism products.

In addition, we want to strengthen the human capacities of local entrepreneurs in the communities located in the area of incidence of the mining project, identified in its Environmental Impact Study.

According to Alberto Casas, Cobre Panama’s Community Affairs Director, “Cobre Panama believes in education. We have seen the positive impact that our educational programs have had on our communities and we hope that with this agreement we will continue to contribute to their growth.

Cobre Panama once again demonstrates its commitment to education. This agreement is in addition to its “Cobre Panama Crece Contigo” Scholarship program, the promotion of STEAM education with its “Robotics for Social Mobility” program, support for the “She is an Astronaut” program of the She is Foundation, as well as the development of the “Mineralogical Club”, a regional educational program carried out by the organization Women In Mining to promote learning about minerals and their use in society, in children and adolescents, in a fun and entertaining way.
